The Rowan Learning Trust was established in 2012 following many years of highly successful school to school based support: led by Roy Halford, then Headteacher of Hawkley Hall High School and founder CEO of the Rowan Learning Trust. The name Rowan Learning Trust references the inception of the Trust within Wigan, as the Rowan tree is featured on the borough's coat of arms. We are an education charity. Our schools are working in collaboration, as one entity, to improve and maintain high educational standards across the group. We have a signal and moral purpose to advance education for the public benefit.
